Prosper Steel estimates, manages and coordinates all aspects of each project with 3D models. We start with an Estimodel built in TEKLA using the available design data.
Coordination between the detailer and the engineer happens at the model level using native model exports from various engineering systems. This setup is more efficient and scalable than exporting everything through 2D representations.

When the preliminary model is ready, we review the structure for fabrication and erection concerns from a 3D perspective, to eliminate any errors and misfits.

Once we establish our approach, we use this same model to apply labor estimates and price out material options.

All material requirements get linked to their 3D representations. This linking system allows vendors to quote accurate nested shapes, making the most efficient use of stock shapes instead of weight-based estimates.

We handle labor applications automatically using a catalogue of routinely tested and refined formulas. Past uses of these formulas are linked directly to shop production tools, thus allowing operators to see the labor time goals and give feedback on a piece-by-piece method.
